A Quick Rundown Of What Was Announced At Apple’s Peek Performance Event

Apple’s first event of the year really highlighted what they had been cooking behind closed doors. All the gadgets that were announced today indicated their level of excellence and performance.

The event streamed live from Cupertino and focused on the. Here’s a quick rundown of what was announced;

1. Apple TV+

Apple will be bringing Drama, Joy and Suspense in our lives as they will be adding new exclusives on Apple TV+.

Fans will be able to watch Friday Night Baseball on Friday nights and can be viewed with other Apple devices.

Friday Night Baseball will be available in Brazil, the United States, Japan, Mexico, Canada, Australia, the United Kingdom, South Korea and Puerto Rico.

2. iPad Air

The incredibly thin, light and powerful device will be having new features that will make users (customers) feel and have a better experience.

The new feature comes supercharged with the M1 chip and an 8 core CPU which will make the M1 faster than the fastest tabs you can think of. The M1 will also make the iPad Air a gaming machine powerhouse.

It will come along with a 12-megapixel front wide-angle camera which has Centre Stage. A 5G connection makes it 2x faster.

The new iPad air works with the magic keyboard, 2nd Generation apple pencil.  

It will be available at a starting price of $599 (Wi-Fi only model) and at $749 (for the Wi-Fi and cellular version). It will also come with 64GB and 256GB of storage in new colours including space grey, pink, purple, blue and starlight.

Preorders will be open on Friday and they will be available on the 18th of March.

3. iPhone SE 3

The iPhone SE will come alongside the A15 Bionic chip. This is great for users who want a smaller phone with great performance.

The design is made to last, a Home button with a Touch ID comes with 5G connectivity (which comes with faster downloads, faster streaming, faster gaming, less lag and more fun).

It’s made from the toughest glass and comes in three distinctive colours – Midnight, Product Red and Starlight. It comes with a 12 mega-pixel camera that has deep fusion, Smart HDR4 and iOS 15.     

It comes with a price tag of $429. Preorders will be open on Friday and they will be available on the 18th of March.

4. iPhone 13 and 13Pro

Apple also released new finishes for the iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 Pro respectively.

The iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 Pro new finish are neal green and alpine green respectively and come with more sleek designs which feature a Ceramic Sheild front cover, the A15 Bionic chip with an advanced experience and cutting-edge camera systems for taking stunning photos and videos.  

Both finishes will be available on Preorder on Friday and will be available on March 18.

5. Mac Studio

Mac Studio is the latest addition to the Mac family. The desktop is similar to the Mac Mini but it packs a lot of power on the inside.

It features Apple’s M1 Max chip and a new powerful processor, the M1 Ultra.

The new M1 Ultra

The Mac Studio sits at a height of 3.7 inches and a width of 7.7 inches. It takes little space and comes with minimal sound. Features include 4 Thunderbolt ports, an HDMI, a Pro Audio Jack, 2 USB-C ports for fast connectivity, an SDXC card slot.

When combined with the M1 Max, it is 2.5x faster than the 27inch iMac, whereas when combined with the M1 Ultra, it is 3.8x faster than the 27inch iMac.

6. Studio Display

The new Studio Display is a 27-inch 5K Retina display that is built with Aluminium and enclosed in a slim space. It has a built-in webcam and comes with a tilt- and height-adjustable stand.

The new features come with 12 mega-pixel Ultra-Wide cameras with Centre Stage, 3 mics and 6 speakers that supports Spatial Audio, 14.7 million pixels.

It comes with a price tag starting at $1599. Preorders will be open on Friday and they go on sale on March 18.
